This is not a first-time homebuyer class, the certificate from this class will NOT give you access to down payment assistance or mortgage products.

To receive CHAPA and HUD certification Participants will be required to complete an online program in addition to the webinar classes. An email with a class link and instructions for the online portion will be sent to all registered participants. This training provides first-time homebuyers with a thorough understanding of the home purchasing process, including an introduction to the mortgage process, understanding credit standards, conventional lending criteria and preparing for the loan closing. The interactive workshops involve detailed presentations from industry professionals including a home inspector, real estate broker, lending officer, real estate lawyer, home insurance agent, and fair housing specialist. If homebuyers attend 8 hours of class time, they earn a certificate that gives access to specialized mortgage products and other benefits and discounts, including additional training. Pre-registration for this class is required.
